We were tasked by Google to redesign the online experience for TensorFlow, their open source machine learning platform. Our scope included not only refreshing the design, but strategic and visual repositioning. I was responsible for rapid prototyping during our user testing phase, establishing and implementing site wide visual language, and creating a design system to organize vast amounts of informational pages.

A main objective of site redesign was to re-organize the information architecture and provide streamlined entries for users with different skills levels and ML goals. We also needed to unify a range of content and resources that had been added on over time into a cohesive structure.

We began the reorganization process by pulling the existing architecture into a sitemap and listing out the content of each page. Taking Google’s prior user research into consideration, we took a macro look at pain-points and labels to iterate 3 new variations of the sitemap and page content. We then created wire-frame prototypes based on the site map variations and began user testing with Google.
